Easter
We spent Easter in Bennettsville with Mimi and Papa. We saw Mema, Pappy, Grandmomma, and Pappy last weekend when they came up to visit us for Easter. My girls looked like absolute dolls in their dresses, bonnett, and Easter hat. Reese behaved very well in church, while my little firecracker, Mia, had to go outside with Mimi after about 10 minutes. I guess you just can't expect for a 3 year old to sit still longer than that! :-) The Easter bunny brought Mia a tennis racket (she has been wanting Mimi to teach her to play), a glove (she starts t-ball next week), Crocs, Rainbows, candy, and a few other little things. He brought Reese formula, pacifiers, swimmer diapers for the Summer, 3 outfits, a sun hat and a toy.

Silly Mia
Mia is not one who likes to go lay down in her bed and go right to sleep at night. We'll read books, say prayers, and I'll rub her hair or back for a few minutes and get up. It never fails that a few minutes later we can hear her playing around in her room or jumping on the bed. The other night I went in there before I went to bed and she had built a "fort" out of her pillows. I had to remove some of them so that I could see her in the picture. I thought that these were too cute. The funny thing is, the next morning, all of the pillows were in their correct place - and very neatly too I might add!
2 Month Check-up
Reese had her 2 month check-up with Dr. Farrish on Tuesday. She weighed 11 pounds and was 22 3/4 inches long. So, since birth, she has gained 3 1/2 pounds and grown 2 1/2 inches. Not too shabby! She just cooed, smiled and blew bubbles at Dr. Farrish. I was so proud of her. Before the nurse could come in for the shots, Reese fell asleep. So, she woke up to a needle going in her leg. Not too happy. Hearing my girls scream like that are the only times I can remember actually feeling my heart break. I know it hurts them, but it kills me. She was over it fairly quickly and screamed so hard that she fell asleep. She slept in her carrier for 3 hours before I woke her up to change her diaper.
She is still sleeping good - only getting up once a night and she usually goes right back to sleep. Again, I'm sooooo grateful to have a child that sleeps well this time! :-) Here are some pics of the battle scars and later that night.
